چکیده
This is the first book on this subject in any language. This book consists of seven articles which describe and analyze images of Chinese women in a variety of genres, including folklore, poetry, fiction and drama, from early times to the present, in the works of both male and female writers. One of the main themes of this work is diversity; women in Chinese literature have a thousand faces and a thousand personalities, contravening the common perception of all Chinese women as frail and submissive in a supposed patriarchal culture.
